BREAST IMPLANT REPLACEMENT

BREAST IMPLANT REPLACEMENT

As a rule, we recommend silicone gel breast implants be replaced every 10 to 15 years as they can weaken and rupture. If this occurs, don’t worry. We can help. At your appointment, we’ll discuss your options so that you are fully satisfied with the appearance of your breasts.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does the procedure take?
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and takes about two hours.
Will I see results immediately after the surgery?
After the procedure, your breasts will be covered with a bandage for one week, so you’ll have to wait a while before seeing the results.
What will happen in the days following the operation?
For two weeks, you should wear an underwire-free bra or a camisole with an integrated bra, day and night. It will also be important to sleep on your back during this period to maintain the prostheses in position.
Is a recovery period required?
You can return to work about one or two weeks after the procedure, but you may have to wait up to four weeks if your job requires physical work. Physical activity can be resumed gradually about three weeks later.
