How long does the procedure take?
The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes about two hours.
What will happen in the days after the procedure?
You’ll experience swelling for two to three weeks after the procedure. To reduce swelling, you should keep your head elevated on the first night, including when you sleep. Applying ice is also recommended.
Is a recovery period required?
You can return to work about one week after the procedure; two weeks if you work with the public. You can resume physical activity gradually after three to six weeks, depending on the type of activity.
