Injecting a filler is the recommended treatment to fight against wrinkles, fine lines and folds in all areas of the face where connective tissue is lacking.

COURSE OF A SESSION

Most areas are painless, only the lips and their outline are sensitive. Some injected products also contain lidocaine.

After the session, redness may appear at the injection sites but is quickly reduced by a foundation and disappears naturally. There is no social exclusion, and the patient can resume his or her active life after the operation.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a gel that is injected into the skin to restore volume and fill in wrinkles or folds. The syringe contains hyaluronic acid that is almost the same as that found naturally in the body. It is completely biodegradable.

How it works?

A small amount is injected directly into the skin to add volume. Hyaluronic acid is naturally integrated into the tissue and allows the free passage of important nutrients like oxygen and hormones. The product will also bind water, which adds to the filling effect.

Do injections hurt?

Pain is very personal and depends on one’s pain tolerance. The fillers contain a local anesthetic, and most patients therefore report the discomfort to be minimal.

Can the procedure be reversed?

Yes, if needed or desired, a special inverting agent called “hyaluronidase” can be injected to dissolve the charge.

How long does the effect last?

The product dissolves naturally over time and without touching up and will eventually disappear completely from the body. The duration of a hyaluronic acid filler treatment is very individual, depending on many factors such as skin structure, lifestyle, age and metabolism.
